Pats look to keap point streak rolling against Blazers

Head-to-Head
As with the rest of the teams the Pats face on their swing through B.C., this will be the lone meeting of the 2012-13 campaign between the Pats and Blazers.  Last season’s contest saw the Pats come out on top with an 8-4 victory at the Brandt Centre.  The Pats head into their matchup with the top team in the WHL with points in their last four games while the Blazers hold a 10-1-0-0 record on home ice.  Tonight’s game can be heard on 620 CKRM starting with the Press Box Sports Bar Pre-Game Show at 8:35 p.m.  CST.

Lead Up: Pats Pick up Point in Prince George
Lane Scheidl came up big early in last night’s game with a pair of goals to give the Pats a 2-0 lead.   The Cougars came roaring back to tie the game in the second and send things to the third all square at three.  The final period solved nothing, neither did overtime.  Scheidl scored again in the Shootout, but it wasn’t enough as the Cougars put two pucks behind Matt Hewitt to take the 4-3 shootout win.

November Road Swing
The Pats are into the final leg of their tour through the B.C. Division.  The annual swing during the Canadian Western Agribition in Regina started in Vancouver and Victoria before the second leg in Prince George, Kamloops and Kelowna.  The Pats sit 1-0-0-2 on the trip.

Fitting in Nicely
Alex Theriau played his third game with the Pats last night in Prince George.  He tallied two assists to gain his first two points wearing a Pats uniform.

Climbing the Leaderboard
After being held pointless against Victoria, Lane Scheidl resumed his assault on the WHL’s scoring leaderboard.  The overage forward is now tied for tenth in league scoring with 29 points on the season.  Morgan Klimchuk isn’t far behind tied for 14th with 27 points.

Back in the Mix
After falling as low as sixth in the East Division, the Pats have battled their way back into the thick of things.  They sit third in the division, tied for second in points with Brandon and Swift Current.  As the conference stands, the Pats hold seventh spot with Brandon sitting in sixth.

Quick Hits
