Pats Steal One in Calgary

Matt Hewitt kicks away 32 Hitmen shots helpng the Pats to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen.


The Hitmen outshot the Pats 34-16, but 19 year old goaltender, Matt Hewitt made several spectacular saves en route to a 3-2 Regina Pats victory. Jordan Weal and Matt Marantz each picked up a goal and an assist while Lane Scheidl also scored for the blue and white. The kicks off a hectic stretch for the Pats as they will play two more games in less that 24 hours with an 8:30 (Regina Time) start in Red Deer on Saturday and then a 3:00pm start (Regina Time) in Edmonton to finish off the first half of the season.
