We really needed that,” Hewitt said after notching his fourth shutout of the season. “The past couple visits to their barn they gave us a whipping. It was like, ‘OK, these guys have had enough goals against me, now it’s time to shut the door.’ That was kind of my mentality, the playoff mentality. We needed to stick to our game and play hard defense and get in the corners and grind it out. It was a tough game but we pulled it off.

Looking Ahead

Wednesday, February 22nd. – Ice @ Pats 7:00pm Brandt Centre.

The Pats and Ice will meet for the 4th and final time this season on Wednesday night. The Pats enter the game with a 1-1-1-0 record against the defending WHL Champions, with the Pats taking their latest meeting by the final score of 4-2.                                                          

Friday, February 24th – Warriors @ Pats 7:00pm Brandt Centre

The Pats host their highway #1 rivals for the 3rd time this season. The last time these two teams met on the Brandt Centre ice Lane Scheidl’s penalty shot goal late in the 3rd period led to an exciting 3 to 2 Pats over-time victory.                                                  

Saturday, February 25th. – Pats @ Wheat Kings 7:00pm Westman Communications Group Place.

This is the first of 5 meetings between the Pats and Wheat Kings over the last month of the regular season. The Wheat Kings sit just one point behind the Pats in the Eastern Conference standings.
