Regina, Saskatchewan – This weekend’s NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh saw Regina Pats forward Chandler Stephenson and two Pats prospects drafted into NHL organizations.

Stephenson was selected 16^th in the third round (77^th overall) by the Washington Capitals.  Stephenson adds some offensive punch to the Capitals’ system, finishing the 2011-12 WHL campaign with 42 points in 55 games.

Two Regina Pats prospects were also selected in the draft.  Brady Skjei (USA-U18) was taken 28th overall by the New York Rangers.  Rhett Holland (AJHL-Okotoks) had his name called 102^nd by the Phoenix Coyotes.

 “To be able to have Chandler and the two prospects selected, it’s really positive for our organization,” commented Pats General Manager Chad Lang.  “We had a couple other guys who had been discussed and talked about in Jack Rodewald and Dominik Volek.  Unfortunately they weren’t selected and yet, I think they’re both going to be fully given some opportunities via free agent camps.  Overall I think it has been really positive for our organization.”
