Regina Pats General Manager Brent Parker has issued the following statement in response to the numerous rumors and questions that have been circulating regarding his health;

A top prospect for the NHL entry draft (June 20-21 in Ottawa), Eberle is one of 26 WHL players who have been invited to the combine, joined by Pats defencemen Colten Teubert and Matt Delahey.

Talks are slated to heat up later this week between the Pats and their Brandt Centre landlord. The current lease is set to expire at the end of this month.

Parker was more focused on trying to fill at least one of the holes created by earlier trades involving his third- and fourth-round picks (to Prince Albert for Ryan DePape and to Kamloops for Ryan Bender).

The objective was to extract a definitive answer from Brent Parker, who was asked Thursday whether he intends to remain as the Regina Pats' general manager for the 2008-09 WHL season.
