Colten Teubert's stock is on the rise.

The Regina Pats' defenceman was rated 18th overall among North American-based skaters -- up nine spots from the midseason report card -- when Central Scout released its final rankings on Thursday for the 2008 NHL entry draft (June 20-21 in Ottawa).

Teubert helped Canada win a gold medal at the world under-18 championship on Wednesday in Kazan, Russia. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound rearguard posted one assist in seven games with a plus-eight rating -- tied for the best mark in the tournament -- while being deployed as a shut-down defender.

Pats right-winger Jordan Eberle was also a standout performer, finishing tied for third in tournament scoring with four goals and 10 points. He led the Pats this season with 42 goals, tied for third in the league.

Despite all that, Central Scouting ranked Eberle No. 33 in North America, down from No. 24 at midseason. Similarly, Medicine Hat Tigers sniper Tyler Ennis, who scored 43 goals this season, dropped to No. 31 from 17th.

Pats defenceman Matt Delahey fell to 67th from No. 50 in the midterm rankings.

As expected, Steven Stamkos of the OHL's Sarnia Sting was rated No. 1 by Central Scouting. The Tampa Bay Lightning have already stated their intention to select the dynamic forward with the first overall pick. Central Scouting's top three is rounded out by Peterborough Petes rearguard Zach Bogosian and Guelph Storm blueliner Drew Doughty. They're followed by two defencemen from the WHL's Kelowna Rockets -- Tyler Myers and Luke Schenn -- who were ranked fourth and fifth respectively. Everett Silvertips centre Kyle Beach is No. 7, followed by centre Zach Boychuk of the Lethbridge Hurricanes (eighth).

The Brandon Wheat Kings have two players in the top 30: Defenceman Colby Robak (13th) and Matt Calvert (24th). Saskatoon Blades defenceman Jyri Niemi, a native of Finland, climbed to 25th while Tri-City Americans centre Kruise Reddick, a native of Manor, rounded out the top group at No. 30.

Five forwards from the Swift Current Broncos caught the attention of Central Scouting: Geordie Wudrick (71st), Matt Tassone (96th), Zack Smith (108th), Jan Dalecky (110) and Dale Weise (153rd).

Four members of the Moose Jaw Warriors also made the grade: Centre Joel Broda (70th), defenceman Travis Hamonic (75th), centre Neal Prokop (95th) and defenceman Chad Suer (98th).

Edmonton Oil Kings Brent Raedeke of Regina is No. 106.

The top-rated North American goalie is Guelph's Thomas McCollum, followed by Chet Pickard of Tri-City. Blades netminder Braden Holtby came in at No. 4.

The Central Scouting list appears in Local ScoreBoard.
